New Flight between Alaska and Russian Far East

Travel to Russia will be easier from July, when Vladivostok Air will launch direct flights between Alaska and Russian Far East.

This service between US and Siberia was initially performed by Alaska Airlines and it was discontinued in the 1990’s. Siberia has been for a long time a popular destination for American hunters and fisherman tourists only. Kamchatka now offers exiting outdoor adventures with English language trip assistance for skiers and sightseers. The city of Vladivostok makes big efforts to encourage tourism with cultural attractions like theatres and museums.

The new route on Vladivostok Air, Anchorage-Petropavlovsk, is going to be a four-hour direct flight across the Pacific Ocean. Connecting Alaska to the Kamchatka Peninsula with the convenient flight will make Russia even more desirable destination for tourists in 2012.
